July 2007 Attended Becky Donohue’s Comix Academy at the beautiful COMIX club here in NYC. Performed alongside classmates Elka Perry, Joanne Filan, Lance Rizzo, Yasmine Siddiqui, Ken Jordan et al. A standup is born.
April 2007 Set to perform in the industry-showcase event, Workspace held at Manhattan Theatre Club as part of TVI. Including guest directors such as David Capparelliotis (MTC) and Alaine Alldaffer (ABC), Cynthia will perform with fellow actress and pal Jodie Bentley (www.jodiebentley.com) and be directed by Tom Rowan (EST, Abingdon Theatre, et al)
March 2007 The Gotham Girls Roller Derby used Cynthia's song, Throw Myself during one of their podcasts. Roll on...
March 2007 Cynthia just played a ballsy dame and torch singer in the musical workshop of The Black Dahlia at the York Theatre. A "New Musical Noir" by Richard Sabellico and Carol Crittenden, music by Ed Dixon. A great new musical about Hollywoodland's most heinous unsolved murder. Cynthia performed alongside a very talented cast: Charlotte Cohn, Nancy Anderson, Jeb Brown, Adam Monley, Andrew Varela, Ray De Mattis, Richard Bell, Paul Hope, Jim Bracchitta, Mary Ann Conk, Diane Findlay, Matt Stokes, James Donegan, Danielle Grabianowski, Cynthia Pierce, Amy Blue and Greg Roderick. Musical direction by Nick DeGregorio.
February 2007 Cynthia just recorded a track, as part of the soundtrack demo of Gay No More, a new musical by Michael DiGaetano, songs by Albin Konopka. Great comic, Loretta Lynn-inspired number in what is sure to be a very funny new musical.
